What is headache

Unlike migraine, headache is less intense, less debilitating pain. In otherwords, migraine is more painful than an ordinary headache.

According to National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Strokes when nerves in your head and neck, or blood vessels and muscles in the head, are stimulated by triggers like stress, dehydration, or illness, sending pain messages to your brain – headache will begin.

There are three kinds of headaches like primary headache, secondary headache, and neuropathy (facial pain, and other headache). Honestly speaking it is too complicated to identify the root cause of your headache or what kind of headache it belongs by your own, only your doctor can specifically determine it through tests and diagnosis plus examinations.

Your kids and teenagers are not exempted to get this illness thus you need to be careful when your children are feeling painful with their head go to walk in clinic or urgent care immediately. Never assume you know its cause. Remember it is in the brain and too complex to diagnose by your own unless you are a doctor.

Meanwhile here are the common triggers of headaches and it varies from person to person:

  • Hormonal Changes
  • Stress
  • Sleep Changes
  • Sensory Stimuli
  • Food and Drink
  • Environmental Factors
  • Physical Factors
  • Medications

There are more triggers hence talk to your doctor as soon as possible go to urgent care.

Headache cure in New Jersey

You have two options either you go to nearest walk-in clinic and urgent care or do home remedies. Though a do it yourself is not really advisable for severe headache, you can do some first aid before deciding to go to any urgent care near you.

Some of the remedies you can do are apply heat or cold, hydrate, rest in a dark, quiet room, remove pressure, massage, and so on.

As much as possible never take pain killers without doctors’ prescriptions! Your children, teens, or adult may experience side effects if you take painkillers without the advice of your doctor. Better consult to the urgent care nearby and walk in clinic for safe relief and cure!

Painkillers can have side effects and – in rare cases – lead to complications. In order to avoid adverse effects, it’s important to make sure you use them properly.  – National Library of Medicine
