There are no new vaccination requirements for the 2024-2025 academic year and no amendments to the
current requirements. All children must be age appropriately vaccinated to attend a New Jersey childcare,
preschool or school.

The Department is undergoing rulemaking for the N.J.A.C. 8:57 rules, which includes Communicable Disease,
NJIIS, School and Higher Ed rules, and TB subchapters.

• The Vaccine Preventable Disease Program is not proposing the addition of any new vaccines to
the school requirements but is seeking to align immunization requirements specified in this
subchapter with the current ACIP recommendations.
• Any actual proposed changes will be subject to a 60-day written comment period after publication
in the New Jersey Register. The Department will communicate this to the public and the regulated
communities.
