Beginning February 1, 2015, Kinder Pediatric Urgent Care will be able to provide necessary health care for members of Horizon NJ Health. Kinder Pediatric Urgent Care is proud to be one of the first pediatric urgent care facilities in the State of New Jersey in network with Horizon NJ Health; which means greater access and more options for its members.
“Kinder Pediatric Urgent Care is a responsible alternative to the Emergency Room for non life threatening emergencies,” said Jillian Stratton, Center Administrator at Kinder Pediatric Urgent Care. “Our patients are seen by the same ER trained physicians and nurses they would at area hospitals, but without the long wait time and extra added expenses traditionally associated with hospitals.”
By partnering with Horizon NJ Health, the state’s largest managed Medicaid health plan, members have another option for urgent care other than hospital Emergency Rooms or closed pediatrician’s offices. This will reduce overcrowding in emergency rooms and help reduce overall healthcare insurance expenses as well as time spent away from their families and workplace.
Senior Kinder Pediatric Urgent Care Pediatrician Jonathan Reyes, MD, adds “It is very satisfying as a physician to provide good quality care to a sick and or injured child, especially with significantly less wait time, in a comforting, kinder and kid friendly environment than your neighboring Emergency Rooms.”
